MUSEUM HIRES NEW EDUCATION SPECIALIST

OGDENSBURG, NY – The staff at the Frederic Remington Art Museum welcomes Loreen Murphy as the new Education Specialist.

As Education Specialist, Loreen will be working closely with Curator Laura Foster and Kid’s Place Youth Programs Director Mary LaCombe as well as our many museum volunteers. She will be on our roster of artists providing instructional workshops for our popular series at Kid’s Place and other venues.

Loreen graduated with great honor from SUNY Potsdam in 2003 with a major in studio art and English literature. Her year-long internship at SUNY Potsdam's Gibson Gallery and extensive professional writing background make her well qualified in the position's museum education and grant writing roles.
