Juried Art at Remington

OGDENSBURG, NY - The Frederic Remington Art Museum’s 2009 International Juried Art Exhibit received a record number of images – 222, submitted by artists from within 100 miles of Ogdensburg. 

 

Juror Terry Sametz of Ottawa, Ontario, selected 39 works by 37 artists for the exhibition, which opens November 7th from 2 – 4 in the Richard E. Winter Gallery of the Frederic Remington Art Museum.  This fifth biannual exhibit includes art by 17 artists from Canada, as well as several students at Potsdam’s Clarkson University.  The exhibit is on view through January 16th.

The Frederic Remington Art Museum is located at 303 Washington Street, Ogdensburg, NY 13669. The Museum is dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, preserving and interpreting the art and archives of Frederic Remington, and contains an unmatched collection of his works. The Museum is open November 1 - April 30, Wednesday -Saturday, 11 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm and May 1 - October 31, Monday -Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm and Sunday, 1 to 5 pm.
